In November 1918, 5th Gordons liberated the town of Chièvres in Belgium. The town decided to commemorate the centenary of this momentus event and invited the Gordon Highlanders Association to attend. The main event was a re-enactment of the presentation to the town of a Gordon Highlanders flag, in return for which the town presented the Gordons with a replica of the town's ceremonial key.
AUOTC Drums and Pipes, as well as AUOTC Association members, supported the Gordon Highlanders Association over the course of the weekend (16-18 November 2018), which included the Band playing at The Menin Gate and on both the Saturday and the Sunday at Chièvres, once where the audience included a four-star general!
